Yesterday went ice skating and had a hell out of the time. Had so much fun after so many days of suffering(studying for TT). Went with Leandro, fabian, Jian Rong, Joyce. After ice skating, went to simei to eat banquet. After eating Leandro left for family bbq, Fabian, Joyce and me went to play pool. Around 6.40pm, we all left for Bedok. I bought some vcds while Veron and Fabian look around for cute stray cats. Play around with one black cat, very attached to Fabian and Veron. Joyce practically stand a few metres away from the cat(very scared of cats). I am neutral, dont want to touch stray cats as they are dirty. Fabian and Veron hands went black after touching the cat. Haha..

Today went to buy computer stuff, keyboard, mouse, printer catdrigde, a4 printing papers, cd holder. Going bankrupt soon. Tmr going to find either mp3 or thumbdrive. Dont know which to buy cos budget. Met Noel, Fabian, Joyce for lunch. After purchasing the products, we practically wasted our life at starbuck, sit down do nothing. Everybody felt boring especially Noel and Fabian cos nothing to do before going for dinner. Lynette came later to join us for a while. Lynette asked me to pei her go into Samuel and Keith, coincidentally saw her parents. Then she soon bian sk her mother to buy her a blouse. Lynette couldnt find her size so i went round to look for it, then her mother thought i was working there! Haha... Me a salesgirl.. got to be kidding.. Then she left with her parents after purchasing. Short after, my mood started to swing. My parents keep pestering me to come home cos they anyhow touch my com. Sian.. Cant let me have peace. Everytime say I go out with friends. Dont want to go out with family.. Sai.. I dont bother about what they say and went to play pool with Veron at pavilion. That time I went beserk, I didnt mention a thing(not a word), I felt like throwing things liao..then my parents keep calling me to come home. Then I cannot take it, I went home, anyway its already time for them to go for dinner. I went home first as I was damn pek chek like mad liao.. Now okie le. Happy liao after watching the damn lame Stephen Chow show("Chinese Odessey part 2").

Memorable 2004

Full of surprises day..
Veron, Joyce, Fabian, Leandro, Noel, JinXian, JianRong and me when to Swensen for lunch after school. We were seated in this manner.

Joyce and Veron went to the toilet. So the remaining of us settled down and looked through the menu. While deciding on what to order, Leandro suggested that we all should catch a movie and I recommended “Meet the Fockers”. It’s a comedy, continuation of “Meet the Parents”. After a while, the two of them finally appeared.. after being missing for almost half an hour.. When they say that they were going to the “toilet”, I really thought that they went to the toilet. But they came back with a huge present!! I was shocked at the size of the present as I’ve never received any large presents before, the biggest not as big as candy floss! They bought it at “mini toons”, I guessed it must be a soft toy. I had “Tazmania” at the back of my mind and I was right. I resemble it. Thank you, gals. It is nice to hug while sleeping. Haha!

So after I keep the soft toy and settled down everything, its Fabian’s turn to go missing. He went off without telling anybody his destination. However, Fabian didn’t take that much time to come back. He came back in 5-10 minutes later, with a box in his hands. He wishes me a Happy Birthday and said that the box is from Leandro, Noel, JinXian, JianRong and himself. It is a very cute “precious moment” box with a picture of a girl and a baby in a cot. I thought it was some kind of a diary or statue. I was shocked when I saw the content. It was well decorated by my dearest friend, Fabian, he placed 4 ferrero rocher chocolates at the four corners of the box, some green coloured strips in the middle with a card on top of it which was done by my quietest friend, Noel and the reason why I was shocked when I saw the content was that they placed a $100 note under the strips! It is a very big present. I told them that that was the most “weirdest” gift I had ever received but it is unique. Therefore I would like to extend my warmest hugs to them all. I appreciate it, thank you, guys.

Leandro is still checking on the movie time. We decided to watch it eventually after calling up people and confirmed who was coming and had everything finalised. In the first place, we thought of just booking it online but then we were afraid that there wouldn’t be any good seats. So Leandro went to book the 4.30pm show at the AXS machine at TM. In the mean while, we had our orders taken after an hour or so from the time we came in. Leandro took a very long time to book the tickets. The time before we had our orders taken until the food has been served, he still nowhere to be found. When I send him a message, he finally appeared! He said that he didn’t know how to operate the machine and seek help from a beautiful lady. Haha! We finally get to eat our food, soon after Lynette came. JinXian headed home to eat his medicine and would meet us for movie later on. She did not join us for movie as she had something on and had to go off by 3.30pm. We ended our lunch at 3pm.

After lunch, we went to arcade, Lynette, Joyce and Veron played “ddr”. I didn’t dare to jump as I am afraid that I might get appendix. After one game, Lynette had to go off. We went to Comic Land (Veron bought a comic) and Shop and Save (I bought a lot of chocolates and sweets for the movie later on). AnQi came to join us for movie after her pool session with her friends. After buying, we headed for movie at TM GV as JinXian has already arrived. The movie was great, it was funny and hilarious. The baby in the movie is so cute. The movie ended at around 7pm.

We separated for a while, Fabian, Joyce, Veron, AnQi and me when to pavillion to play pool while JianRong headed home, Noel, Leandro went to JinXian’s house for refreshment. We planned to meet at 9pm at downtown east for dinner.

Veron went to buy something from drive 6. We were the first group to arrive. The other group was late, Shafiq was late too. We settled down at the Satay club. I suggested that we all have Satay for dinner. The 2nd group arrived at 9.20pm. Leandro ordered his food first as he was hungry. AnQi and the rest of us waited for Veron and Shafiq before ordering. Soon after Leandro started eating, Veron called up and arrived. She bought a cake for AnQi and my birthday. We totaled up our birthday together and we were 39 years old so we light up candles of 39 years old. Haha! The funny part is that, usually someone’s birthday, their friends help them to put up the candles but in our case, the birthday girls had to put up their own candles!!! Haha! So Anqi and I lighted up the candles and at least they sing us a birthday song, not we sing for ourselves. Haha! As usual, make a wish, blow out the candles and cut the cake. We took some photos.
After distributing the cake, Havoc!! Shafiq started to sabo Anqi by messing her face with the cream from the cake, then, Joyce mess my face. My face was still messed even though I covered my face and shouted like a mad girl. AnQi returns the favour to Shafiq while I, to Joyce. I didn’t get to attack Joyce because she covered her whole face with her legs. I grabbed her hands and AnQi came to help me. We tickled her until she moved to the next table beside ours. We stopped attacking her then. After a sec, Veron and Joyce wanted to launch an attack, AnQi and I quickly run for our lives. AnQi almost fall down though lucky she can balance. When we turn our heads, we saw Fabian who sat next to me being attacked and I saw Joyce face covered with creams (Fabian literally threw his whole piece of cake on her). There was a commotion for a moment between Joyce and Fabian and suddenly a malay middle aged guy from the other table knocks hard on our table and shouted, “Eh, people are eating!”. I think his hands might have hurt as the table ran out of shape which means he used a lot of strength to knock our table. Veron cleaned up the mess, the cakes all dropped on the floor, while Fabian and Joyce cleaned up themselves. AnQi and I helped to clear the mess. They told us that they were going to the toilet. AnQi and I continue to eat our cakes.

Joyce, Veron, Fabian and Shafiq took a very long time to come back from the toilet. They went missing for more than 10 minutes. AnQi and I went to order some Satay. Even after we had finished our cakes and AnQi had come back from buying drinks, they still have not come back. So we decided to find them in the toilet and arcade but they were nowhere to be found. When we went back to our table, they were there. They told us that they went to another toilet and went to play arcade. Smell something fishy already!

After dinner, we all went around and finally Joyce, Veron, Fabian and Leandro went to play arcade while AnQi, JinXian, Noel and I sat outside to cool down. AnQi send messages to her 200 plus friends while I talk to the two of them. We sat outside until around 11.45pm, we made a move to the countdown “platform”. We looked at a TV screen as we could not get into the field. Countdown begins. We were all shouting our throats out already.10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1..0 Suddenly, Veron, Joyce, Fabian and Shafiq took out some spray and attack AnQi and me. AnQi crouch down while I just stand and face my back to them all. We were unprepared!! AnQi and I didn’t know that they bought the sprays. If the two of us know, we would surely have bought canssss of it to fight them! We were surprised when we saw them with the sprays. This was the fishy thingy going on, this explains the “missing session”. They actually when to buy the sprays and hid them from the two of us.

After the countdown, we spent some time to take some photos and there is one funny incident that happened. We were all standing in a semicircle, shouting and singing some songs then a young boy with a can of spray in his hand came and normal reaction we all say “hi!”, then the father stands behind him and signal something to him. After he turns, he literally attacked us with the spray from right to left and left to right. AnQi sought of went after him but he walked away. The boy is very cute. After we cleaned ourselves, we made a move and headed home. JinXian took 17 from the downtown east bus stop. We send Fabian, Joyce and Noel to the MRT station, Leandro took bus 3 from the MRT station while AnQi, Veron, Shafiq and I walked to the Pasir Ris Park(fishing) bus stop. Shafiq took 81 home while I took a cab home, drop off the two of them first, as it was very late, almost 1am.

This is the most memorable experience of my 2004 year. I’ve had so much fun, my friends were great, presents were huge and I couldn’t possibly ask for more. Thank you for all the surprises, sabotage and all. You all have made a wonderful memorable for me. I appreciate it so much. There are no words for me to express my gratitude, please receive a token of love from me. MUACKS!!!
